9 DIET TIPS TO PREVENT CANCER
1. Crucifeous plants – Broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts, kale, mustard greens, collard greens, turnips eaten raw or slightly cooked. Broccoli is the highest and is rich in carotene, Vitamin C, calcium and potassium.
2. Anti cancer salad ingredients that contain antioxidant compounds that neutralize free radicals in your blood. Free radicals are a special kind of oxygen molecule that interacts in a negative way to our bodies DNA and causes increased growth of cancer cells. You may have to go to a health store to find some of these salad ingredients.
ANTI CANCER SALAD INGREDIENTS ARE:
A. Oak leaf lettuce that has a deep colorful pigment.
B. Curly Endive has a thin stringy appearance with leaves that contain insoluble fiber which helps prevent intestinal cancer.
C. Arugula sometimes called roquette and is a member of the mustard family resembles a dandelion leaf.
D. Watercress is another type of mustard green with a pungent, spicy taste. The spicy taste comes from a substance called isothiocyanates which is an anti cancer agent.
E. Lolla Rossa is something like the oak leaf lettuce with a deep brownish, purplish greenish appearance.
F. Radicchio is a bright purple and yellow vegetable that looks like a cross between regular iceberg lettuce and a cabbage leaf. It is used in toss salads in Italy.
G. Mizuna is a mustard green from Japan with an exotic flavor and leaves with sharp narrow appendages.
3. If it is red, yellow, or orange vegetable eat it as it has a lot of beta-carotene. Carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, apricots, cantaloupes, pumpkins and so on are foods that create retinoic acid in your body that fight cancer naturally.
Tomatoes contain lycopene that gives tomatoes their red color but is a free radical scrubber.
4. Garlic not only is a cancer fighter but cholesterol blocker, and anti fungal agent for people with mold or intestinal yeast infections. Garlic boosts the immune system and the oils and extracts of garlic are like poison killing cancer cells.
